Description:
Child's cap of gathered white silk trimmed with narrow looped ribbon and bobbin lace edging, which was worn by the donor when a child. The cap has an elongated central embroidered medalliion on the top (satin piped in satin); ribbon and lace rosettes over each ear; silk drawstring around edge of cap in casing and silk ribbon ties 21.5" long by 2 1/8" wide; and is lined with very fine satin weave cotton gathered into the bottom.
