Description:
English white stoneware case (formerly known as a block mold) for a double sauceboat. The oblong case mold is double-lipped; has an three-lined incised scalloped pattern around the upper edge; gadrooned shoulders; and relief shell-like forms around the body. This mold came with a salt-glazed stoneware sauceboat (HD 85.064) in a similar pattern; however, this specific mold did not produce this sauceboat. [HD85.064]
