Description:
Violin case for the violin, HD 85.060, with a brass carrying handle given to the donor by Evelyn B. C. Pennegar (b.1885) in 1980, which belonged to Mrs. Pennegar's grandfather, William Coombs (1810-1880), of Colrain, Massachusetts. The tapered case has a hinged domed cover, rounded ends, and leather fittings inside.
