Description: One of two English soft-paste porcelain dishes (see HD 82.061) decorated in blue with the pine cone pattern and marked on the base with a shaded blue crescent, which used extensively at Worcester Porcelain. This Worcester product apparently was the design source for a Chinese attempt at catering to the English market; Godden illustrates a chinese export porcelain version with identical blue-painted decoration. The narrow, scalloped and fluted rim has a blue, hand-painted trellis pattern with stylized berries; the shallow well is decorated with a blue transfer print with pine cones, flowers, and scrolling floral and foliate sprays. HD 82.060-82.061and HD 90.185-90.189 are decorated with the same blue pine cone pattern.
