Description:
Unframed photographic print labeled on the back "Florence, Annie, Elsie, Ina, Olive." The women descended from Emilia Stebbins (1798-1884), daughter of Asa Stebbins (1767-1844) of Deerfield, who married Abel Houghton (1790-1873) of St. Albans, Vermont, in 1817. They had a daughter, Mary Ann Houghton Sawyer (1823-1906), and a son, George Frederick. George's son, George Frederick (1842-1913) married Annie Heald (1846-1916) in 1866; they had 8 daughters, including Florence, Annie, Elsie, Ina, and Olive Averill, and 3 sons, including Roland Elmer (1869-1924). Olive Averill Houghton (1889-1956), married Safford Dunbar in 1910; their daughter, Virginia Dunbar McCormick, donated this photograph.
