Description:
Framed hand-colored engraving of Frederick I engraved by Hieronomous Sperling and printed by Johan Christian Leopold, with text in Latin and German. Frederick I was the father of Frederick II of Prussia, or Frederick the Great (1712-1786), who reigned from 1740-1786 and was a hero to the English because of his alliance with them against the French during the Seven Years War (1756-1763).
