The cylindrical mug has a blue-edged rim over a plain molded band; over a band of flowers in blue, yellow, and green; over the impressed inscription outlined by two molded bands; over grouping of three swirled, vertical blue bands ending in a blue band; over a molded flat base. The applied scrolled handle has pinched terminals and blue foliate decoration. Similar mugs were sold with the inscription for "Winchester Measure Warranted," c. 1825.
