Description:
Tape measure in a reel-type leather case marked: "50 ft warranted correct" stamped on the exterior rim, which belonged to Samuel Deering Lanphar (1798-1849) of Biddeford (Massachusetts until 1820, now Maine). The donor is the great-great grandson of Samuel Deering Lanphar.
