Description:
English lusterware cream pitcher with a coil handle, decorated in copper lustre with dark green bands around the neck and body, both of which decorated with copper lustre designs. Its copper lustre decoration is created by applying gold salts to the red earthenware body, where in the heat of the kiln the metal is deposited as a thin layer on the surface.
