Description:
English lusterware footed bowl with a flared rim, decorated with copper lustre and a dark blue band around the body with two floral sprays and two scenes with a shepherd and sheep in brown, orange-red, blue, green, black, and white, all in relief. Its copper lustre decoration is created by applying gold salts to the red earthenware body, where in the heat of the kiln the metal is deposited as a thin layer on the surface.
