Description: English lusterware cream pitcher with a pinched spout, shaped coil handle, and molded flat foot. The pitcher is covered with copper luster around the neck, shoulder, and base of the bulbous-shaped body, and the interior rim and neck; there is a plain dark blue slip band around the mid body. Its copper lustre decoration is created by applying gold salts to the red earthenware body, where in the heat of the kiln the metal is deposited as a thin layer on the surface.
