Description:
Card for processing cotton fibers before spinning into yarn. These combs were used in pairs to align cotton boll fibers and remove any remaining impurities to retain the best and longest fibers for spinning into yarn. The card features a wire brush set into leather that is tacked around into a wooden frame. Mrs. C.E.B. Allen donation to PVMA, Domestic Room, #175 or #145 wood, leather, steel. marked "D. Holmes, Boston"
