Description:
English pearlware oval dish with a scalloped, blue shell-edged rim, which was probably the base of a tureen. The piece was in the PVMA collection, in the Kitchen, marked "K49??" (illegible). The dish is probably either K495, listed as "495. Dish" from the Dickinson estate; or K497, listed as a "497. Blue-edged Nappy" (rimless shallow open serving dish) from Miss Emily C. Graves of Greenfield; or K499 - listed as "499. Dish" from Mrs. Eunice K. Brown. There is a large piece missing from the rim.
