Description:
Chinese export porcelain ginger jar with lid decorated in blue with a Chinese landscape scene with buildings. Miss C. Alice Baker (1833-1909) bought it from Miss Theodosia Bragdon of York, Maine. It is shown in a Emma Lewis Coleman (1853-1942) photograph of the Baker dining room (Coleman inventory #68; 1963 inventory - Barnard dining room #19).
