Description:
Staffordshire pearlware platter with a blue transfer print of an Italian landscape scene, and the title: "ITALIAN SCENERY PONTE DEL PALAZZO" printed in underglaze blue on the back. The image on this platter was inspired by a drawing/print by Miss Elizabeth Frances Batty from the book "Italian Scenery, From Drawings Made in 1817 by Miss Batty", published by Rodwell & Martin, London, 1820.
