Description:
Silver-plated candlestick that may have belonged to Lucy Frary Stebbins (1754-1831) of Deerfield who married Joseph Stebbins (1749-1816) of Deerfield in 1774. The candlestick has a simple, stepped banded top, columnar stem, and banded foot; over a raised, stepped rectangular base with a gadrooned band around the top. The base, which has been weighted with a chalky substance, was lined with green felt, which has been removed.
