Description:
Pair of silk and leather pattens, used to protect shoes form dirt and mud, which were made to match the shoes with which they were worn. The latchets or uppers are made of silk brocade with pink, green, and rose on a cream background with a cream silk binding. "TxR" is stamped on the leather soles, which are flat but have a raised upper portion filling in the arch.
