Description:
English or possibly Dutch delft octagonal plate decorated in blue with a chinoiserie design with band of floral sprays around the rim, and two blue bands around the edge of the well with its flowers, leaves and a stylized rock, decoration which is loosely based on Chinese blue and white porcelain. Octagonal plates first appear in the late 1670s. This plate came from the Frank Garner collection.
