Description:
Chinese export porcelain wide baluster-shaped vase with two applied gilt dragon handles, decorated in the Famille rose palette in pink, iron-red, purple, green, green, yellow and orange with large clusters of fruit and flowers, small sprigs, and butterflies. There are bands of lightly-molded fluting around the interior rim and base. and a beaded band around the shoulder, each highlighted in gilt and iron-red. Pairs or groups of vases and garniture sets were exported in large quantities to satisfy the Dutch and European passion for porcelain.
