Description:
Chinese export porcelain saucer in the Famille rose palette of green, turquoise, blue, yellow, rose, white, iron red, black, and gilding with joined floral sprays framing pair of interlocking gilt pseudo initials under a pair of gilt crowns. Above left crown, there are two floral sprays; and above right crown, there are two white and black doves with beaks touching. Rim decoration gilt and brown spearhead border. Traces of gilding on edge. This was part of a marriage service probably made for the Danish market during the mid eighteenth century.
