Description:
Back stool or side chair with a cherry frame, which descended in the Trumbell and Cogswell families of Worcester, Massachusetts. The straight back and trapezoidal seat are upholstered in a French cotton floral print on a beige background, ca. 1800. The square, front Chippendale legs are channeled on the front and outside side; the side and back stretchers, and slightly flared back legs are plain.
