Description:
Chinese export porcelain pear-shaped teapot in the Famille rose palette in rose, white, turquoise, green, blue, iron red, and black. The center is decorated with peony sprays that stretch from handle to spout. Rose and white flowers with turquoise centers and green leaves and blue flowers grow from green and blue pot painted with white flowers. Under the S-shaped spout is a horizontal cherry blossom spray. The base of the spout has iron red leaf details. The underside spout has red vegetation. The handle has iron red and green leaf flower detail. Narrow rose flowered diaper band at top outlined in iron red. Lid decoration has a round white knop, sprays of rose dianthus, green, and turquoise leaves and rose bird. At lid rim flare a similar diaper band.
