Description:
Chinese export porcelain bowl with lightly fluted sides and wide scalloped rim edge, decorated in brown, greens, rose, iron red, and gilding. The center well has a wreath around a scene of a grey and white dog standing upright on his hind legs holding out an orange cane in its right paw, a black tricorn hat, and its left paw against the gilt sword strapped at his waist, against a green background. There are two concentric rings of brown-edged gilt wreathes with green and rose flower blossoms around the interior rim.
