Description:
Chinese export porcelain wide coffee cup with "C" shaped crabstock style handle in blue, iron red, black, and gilding. Center decoration of bowl has pseudo ermine lined and draped armorial containing gilt initials "HRD"? with pair of doves above banderole. Poor quality export for the American market. Later in date because of its wider bowl and handle style. Probably part of a marriage service. The two birds or doves are common symbols of marriage in .... Top edge of cup with gilt edged blue band with gilt stars. Inside rim iron red, gilt, and blue leaf chain.
