Description: Pair of woman's high-heeled shoes with a rounded-point toe and a fabric-covered Louis heel. The uppers are made of a green/grey solid colored satin. Shoes fasten with two latchets or pointed straps secured by a buckle (the buckles with them are not original to the shoe, and given new numbers 58.278.3 and .4, respectively). There is a CB seam and one side seam on each side. Inside the shoes are lined with a plain weave linen. The tongues are backed with an ombre-striped silk. Writing on the inside of both is mostly illegible; possibly "Perkins," and "c/r" and "m/o". The sole of one shoe has more writing (on the arch), but is illegible. June Swann noted that these shoes did not see a lot of wear, as evidenced by the soles.
