Description:
Small rectangular stool in pine and birch; the wood analysis indicates that is was probably made in Canada. The top is recessed to hold the loose cushion, which was reupholstered in a green and white, cut, uncut, and voided wool velvet on a linen ground weave that known as mockado or moquette. There are early, turned legs ending in flattened ball feet and stretchers. The underside of the top is white pine, the legs and seat rails are birch.
