Description:
English delft circular shallow plate (no foot rim) decorated in blue, orange-red, purple, and yellow with an edge-to-edge scene of a peacock walking among trees with sponged foliage. The peacock is outlined in blue, with red head feathers; blue head, wings, and legs; yellow body; and red and yellow tail feathers, standing on a blue foreground. The trees have blue trunks and the leaves and shubbery are purple sponged. There is a narrow blue band around the outer edge of the rim.
