English delft circular plate in Fazackerly colors of blue, green, yellow, and orange-red. The well is decorated with a center floral spray with a five petaled flower motif in the colors of blue, orange-red, and yellow flowers with a long center stem and leaves. The rim has three floral sprigs in yellow, orange-red, and blue, alternating with three small red floral sprigs. On the underside of the plate, painted in manganese purple is the number "2." Acquired from David Stockwell, 7/56. Given to Heritage National Foundation, 1/5/62. Gift of Ginsberg & Levy, 12/56. Last known location FC.202.43, 9/98, and FC.223.37, 12/6/02. According to the research by Peter Francis, there are eight other examples marked with the decorator number "2" on the reverse, there is also another plate with similar decoration marked "14," the most idiosyncratic and recognizable Dublin numbers of all - which greatly enhances his confidence that this plate was made in Dublin, Ireland.
