Description:
Slat-back side chair with two turned finials, plain turned legs and stretchers, painted black. Under the leather seat in black ink: "From the Sheldon Den/1810." The rear seat rail is cherry, the proper left lower stretcher is sugar, or hard, maple, and the proper left rear leg and lowest slat on splat are birch.
