Description:
Redware jug covered with yellow/orange and dark brown glaze. The jug has a large, applied strap handle, narrow lipped opening, and molded foot rim. The inherent fragility of these inexpensive wares caused them to break from use. The iron impurities in the clay give the body its distinctive red color.
