Description:
Chinese export porcelain plate decorated with bouquets and scattered floral sprays in the Famille rose palette of rose, purple, opaque yellow, green, iron red, black, and gilding. The center well has a bouquet with a rose crysthanthemum, roses, yellow aster, and iron red mallows with green and purple leaves and black brush strokes, and scattered around the well are mallows, asters and roses and sprigs of green leaves, and purple yellow and iron red blossoms. The rim has a wave-outlined rose and purple diaper pattern border with sprigs of rose flowers, stems, and leaves, and a narrow band of iron red enamel outside edged in gilt around the lip.
