Description:
Two Chinese export porcelain round soup plates in the Famille rose palette of rose, yellow, green, white, black, blue, and gilding. Center decoration has rose, yellow, blue and white hawk-like bird with curved beak standing on a rock with sprays of blue, rose, yellow and white flowers. Cavetto has pink swastika diaper border interrupted by green and rose flower heads. Rim decoration has sprays of peonies, crysthanthemum and other flowers in rose, yellow, and white with blue and green leaves. Rim edge has iron red band with gilt garlands interrupted by sets of dice totalling 4, 8, 16, 21.
