Description:
"Fatal Curiosity" This is a reverse print applied to glass, the print depicts Fatal Curiosity, the image shows two men in the outdoors spying on a beautiful woman, the first man has caught his leg in a bear trap, the inscription reads: "FATAL CURIOSITY/ But now when urgd by tender Woes/I speed to meet my Dear/ This hidden Trap my hopes oppose/ And checks my fod Career." and "London Published as the Act directs Octr 1st 1784, by R. Sayer & J. Bennett, Map, Chart & Printsellers, No. 53 Fleet Street" Condition: the glass is cracked in many places and the print has become detached from the surface of the glass. There is an extra layer of glass on the front of the print. The frame is old and perhaps original to the print.
