Description:
English pearlware oval tureen with a lid and a separate stand, with molded decoration accented with cobalt blue. The domed lid has a pineapple knob over molded leaves and a shell band, all highlighted in blue; and a plain molded band around the rim with an opening for a ladle handle. The body has a plain rim over straight shoulders with a shell band highlighted in blue; two attached scrolled handles with shell edges outlined in blue; and a plain concave body leading to a domed, flared foot. The stand has a deep well in which the tureen sits; a molded rim with a shell edge outlined in blue; and applied foot ring.
