Description:
One of two Queen Anne side chairs in walnut. The chair has a yoked crest rail and shaped stiles with chamfered rear edges; solid vase-shaped back splat; rounded "compass" slip seat covered in new gold wool damask; front cabriole legs ending in pad feet; and slightly flared back legs chamfered above and below the turned, compressed stretchers. The number "IV" is carved on the inside of the seat rail and on the slip seat frame.
