Description:
Rocking cradle in maple and pine with traces of red stain. The sleigh-type cradle has a cloth bonnet, which folds back, and guard rails comprised of turned spindles doweled into the finials of the corner posts. Each of the side spindles, legs, and center stretcher have center incised lines. The flat base, which has two incised lines around its edge, is supported on four plain turned legs, which are mortised into the arched rockers and secured with wooden pegs.
