Description:
Chinese export porcelain coffee cup decorated with a Chinese domestic scene in the Mandarin palette of rose, orange, iron red, yellow, white, blue, green, brown, black, and gilding. From right of "C" shaped handle woman sitting at Western table at outdoor pavillion. Man smoking a pipe with one foot resting on a garden seat. Another group of two women (one with fan) watching a crouched boy play with dog. Handle area separated by a brown cartouche diaper area at the bottom and circular area at the top depicting the exterior of a rose curtained opening. Top band around cup black and iron red diaper border interrupted by cloud cartouche containing rose flowers en camieu.
