Description:
ID))): The scene inhabits a black rectangular outline. It relies on a sinuous contour and an opposition of black or white areas without using half-tones. There are two nude women in the frame. On the right, a woman in the foreground sits upright on the ground in a circular object facing rightward. Her legs are bent to her right, in an almost pinwheel position while her left hand reaches across to the back of her right shoulder. A geometric pattern lines the distance in the background to her right. Behind her to the left is the other nude woman, who rests exposed in a lounge chair, leaning slightly backward and facing the left side. She has one hand behind her head, and the other rests on her thigh. There’s a similar geometric pattern of triangles on the chair she lays in. Both women have their eyes closed, and their faces pointed away from the direction of the viewer. (Brielle Renwick '27 / Paige Clark '27)
