Description:
A reverse image pattern for the Russian Icon depicting Saint Nicholas, and left to right the Virgin Mary (Theotokos) and Christ, the archangels Gabriel and Michael, and two miracles from the life of Saint Nicholas: the healing of the possessed boy and the rescue of the adolescent Demetrius from drowning. In the lower right-hand corner, the print displays the stamp of the Kuznetsov workshop, an Old Believer icon workshop active in Moscow in the late 19th century. Below are the signatures of Dmitrii Kuznetsov and the print’s owner Fedor Sidorov Grecheskii.
