Description:
Drawing of a branching plant with flowering buds. Next to it is a close-up of one of its blossoms, a drooping bud. Across the drawing in red ink is its Latin name: Epifagus Virginiana. (Possibly alternative spelling of Epiphegus virginiana) Also known as beechdrops, it is a parasitic plant native that grows on the roots of the beech tree.
