Label Text: SKINNER CATALOGUE: A British sword of the Revolutionary War period. Straight single edged blade, 33" x 1", with old time blueing (largely worn off) on the upper part and gilded designs on both sides, consisting of a group of branched leaves, two kettle drums and flags, and two conventionalized flowered designs. Bone grip, longitudinally ribbed, brass guard, and brass eagle's head pommel. Owned by Obed Smith, brother of Levi Smith, of Granby, MA, about 1820. Missing scabbard. Some corrosion on the blued area of the blade. Weight: 23 ozs. Cat. 10/3/1935.
