Label Text: SKINNER CATALOGUE: A travelling liquor set consisting of one blown glass bottle, pontil ground, with line and scroll gilt decorations at top and on stopple. Four plain cordial glasses. The case is five old French books, three glued together to form the case and two for the cover. The inside of the books is cut out to form the receptacle for the bottle and glasses, and has been recently lined with brown leather. There is no ring to the glasses, which coupled with the new appearance of the inside of the case and the high alcoholic content of the "cordial" in the bottle raises some doubts of the antiquity of the item. Case 6 3/4" x 4 1/4" x 5 3/4". Books: Le Meilleu, Histoire Eccles - Tom XXI, L'..ne..s Apostogio, Conference D'Angers - 10 - Etats Divers - 2, Apologi de la Religion - Tom 1. Cat. 7/15/1937.
