SKINNER CATALOGUE: An oval Shaker spice box, pine top and bottom, maple sides and rim. 5 inch, two tounged, copper tacked lap, which was characteristic of Shaker construction. Copper brads used to hold the sides to the top and bottom boards. Varnish of sides and top worn. Slight scent of spice still noticable. Length 7 3/4" Width 5" Depth 2 1/8". Cat. 11/18/1936
