Label Text: SKINNER CATALOGUE: Chair. A late 18th century Windsor side chair. Hickory back, legs, and stretchers, pine seat. Shaped bow back with nine turned and slightly tapering spindles. Single side and central cross stretchers, the side stretchers being much more worn at the front and bulging at the point of juncture with the cross stretcher. Turned legs with two slight bulges, tenoned through the seat, while the spindles tenon only into the seat. Seat rounded and shaped with a draw shave. Back bow mended in two places with steel plates. Height: back 37 1/2" seat 16 3/4" Diam. legs 1 1/8" Cat. 8/20/1936
