Description: ca. late 19th or early 20th century plaster cast of an original dating either to the Hellenistic Period or to the early Augustan Period in Rome. Nike, on the right side of the relief, pours a libation into a patera held by Apollo, standing to the left side of the relief. Apollo also holds a kithara, a type of stringed instrument similar to a lyre, in his left hand. Artemis and Leto look on. This cast may be after a Hellenistic marble relief known as the Kitharodenrelief or a later terracotta recreation from the Augustan period. Fragments of both the marble relief and the terracotta relief are located at the British Museum in London, England.
