Description:
Counterfeit Connecticut Exchange Bank ten dollar note. Printed obverse, with "Counterfeit" written three times over it, interspersed with four handwritten Xs. On the reverse, a handwritten note: "Received this Bill of Austin Hall / June 13, 1840 / And it was delivered to me as counterfeit / Ashbel Olmsted Justice of Peace"
