Description:
Four-sided piece of red ware, probably terra cotta. Rough edges, faces have several wide ridges. Small patch of erosion on lower part of outer face, as well as patches of dark and light discoloration. White accretion on much of inner face. Inscribed there in pencil is "Kharje [...] Kharge". "Kharge" is another word for the town and regional capital Al Karijah in Al-Wadi Al-Jadid, Egypt. Physically unrelated to 2000.557.a.INV and 2000.557c-f.INV.
