Description: Woman's wrapper, or informal dressing gown, of printed wool, the fabric of which references earlier wocen designs of kashmir or paisley shawls. Predominant green background color with a design of wide vertical columns of orange and purple flowers. The wrapper is cut in a princess line (without a horizontal waist seam), and features coat sleeves (shaped, sleeves with an outer and inner sleeve seam). Each cuff is trimmed with narrow band black velvet,and there is a matching narrow velvet collar. The bodice of robe is fitted, with the aid of bust darts. There is center front closure of 17 mother of pearl buttons. Each sleeve is fitted, widest at the elbows. There is piping around armscyes. The inside of robe at bodice is lined with brown cotton; the skirt lined with glazed cotton.
