Description:
Woman's sunbonnet of fine white linen. Starched brim 8.25" with ruffled edge, has been hand quilted in a cross pattern (intersecting squares inscribed by circles), no evident inner lining. Large crown is gathered onto brim (heavily gathered on top, hence high and able to accomodate a large or high hairstyle) about 6" deep. 5" bavolet, draw string (cotton tape) in back. 3x14.5" self ribbons tacked on outside.
