Description:
A length of fabric made from plain weave linen that is brocaded with small, repeating floral designs as well as woven-in stripes. Sometimes referred to as "toile Normande," this kind of textile was a less-expensive version of drawloom-woven patterned silks of the period. These textiles weer also known as barrages.
